Double Chocolate Mini Chips Cookies

* Preheat oven to 350 °F

* Makes about 3 1/2 dozen

Ingredients:

* 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened

*1 1/2 cups sugar

* 2 eggs

* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

* 2 cups all-purpose flour

* 2/3 cup cocoa

*3/4 teaspoon baking soda

* 1/4 teaspoon salt

* 1 3/4 cups (10-ounce package) mini kisses semi-sweet chocolate

* 1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 °F

2. Beat butter, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

3. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture, blending until well blended.

4. Stir in mini kisses and nuts, if desired.

5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookies sheet onto wire rack. Cool completely.
